An antique Persian Heriz rug. The vast majority of Heriz weavings are carpet sized, so it is rare to find a scatter piece, especially a red one with a very well- drawn large Herati pattern arranged neatly around a central vertical axis. The teal border features the classical design of slanted, serrated leavers and colorful rosettes.
