A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The youthful dervish Nur ‘Ali Shah is seated on a tiger-striped masnad, barefoot in a striped robe and crowned by a conical dervish hat. A kashkul (begging bowl) rests in front. The red field is animated by lavish, oversized flowers and stems at each side. The border features an acanthoid meander with small rosettes set in the reserves.
