A wool pile with symmetric knots on a cotton foundation, this piece could easily be mistaken for a Mahal, featuring an allover medium-scale Herati design on the field, which transitions between pale and powder blue. However, the weave follows the Malayer style. The light blue strip-style border displays patchwork polychrome palmettes, with wide spaces between them filled with leaves and foliage. Matching ecru minor borders, adorned with stepped leaves and rosettes, complement the design. A desirable size.
