A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. What would Malayer rugs do without the Herati design? Here, the light blue-grey field shows one full column and two partial lateral columns of the motif module, with salient rosettes and rust accents. The cream strip-style major surround shows repeating spindly flowers in an originally Kurdish manner.
