A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The medium rust-brown field shows an unusual allover pattern of rows of vases, cartouches, palmettes and various sorts of floret arrays, ultimately developed from classical Persian carpet sources. The straw strip style main border shows petal palmettes and filler floret arrays. The ivory minors both present small single flowers, while the other two show rosettes. Short and firm upright pile.
