A Wool pile with symmetric knots on a wool foundation. The seafoam blue field features an allover large lattice with slender ivory diagonals, anchored by an assortment of medium-scale palmettes, and discreetly filled in with upright and broken floral stems. The broad soft rust-red main border transitions into the outer minors with niches enclosing multi-headed flowers. Between these are reticulated diamond motifs, almost rosettes, almost palmettes. A product of a West Anatolian urban workshop in Oushak, a popular source of carpets throughout the centuries.
