A vintage Indian Pictorial carpet. Looks like an applique cutout cloth textile, but it is actually a pile carpet with a much abrashed light denim field with a central boxed human figure with upraised arms, mirrored in the smaller border corner squares. The main border has a red/ ivory sawtooth reciprocal pattern. There is an Art Deco aroma to this Modernist Indian piece.
