Symmetric wool knots on a cotton foundation. Bidjars with overall light tonalities are rare, but here is one on a sandy straw ground, in an allover pattern that shows visible, yet attractive abrash. The pattern includes S-shaped leaves, small forked 'gooseneck' arabesques, fringed lozenge rosettes, and various smaller foliage. The abrash runs fully across the carpet, extending through the main abrashed charcoal border, which features two types of reversing palmettes enclosed by a forked meander. A good, compact weave. Dye lot yarn changes are indicated by the abrash.
