A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This Kurdish village Bidjar kellegi (long rug) is executed in a Neo-Caucasian design, featuring a striking cream hexagonal medallion centered on a square and surrounded by eight botehs, all stenciled on a brown field. Light to medium blue stencil pendants appear at each end of the medallion, with four additional squares and further botehs dispersed throughout the field. The sandy beige strip-style border presents striped turtle palmettes.
