A vintage Persian Gabbeh rug. The rich red ground of this very stylish south Persian Qashqai Gabbeh jogs slightly at one end while displaying a central, elongated chessboard array in dark brown, blue and cream. The main border shows a simple alignment of small squares in the sand, dark blue, ecru and red. All right angles.
