A vintage Persian Hamadan Pictorial rug. At each end of the abrashed ecru, the field is two pots of tulips while across the center is a repeated simple portrait of the Safavid Persian ruler Shah ‘Abbas with his characteristic straight mustachios. The naïve drawing points to a village origin.
