Asymmetric wool knots on an all-cotton foundation. The ecru field features an allover pattern of overlapping open diamonds and "dumbbell" cartouches, interspersed with weeping willows, floral arrays, and leafy quatrefoils. This design is a less common variation of the Joshegan style, contrasting with the more typical multicolor tilework with similar floral motifs. The red border, however, remains classic for the type, with squared palmettes and ninety-degree bent leaves. Medium weave, in good condition.
