A wool pile with symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The hexagonal slate field contains three columns of ragged palmettes, slightly stylized from those in our number 28656. These palmettes continue to rise but are cut off by the upper spandrels. In the corners are large quarter medallions in the Heriz style, featuring rust and cream chessboard patterns. The pale blue chalice and slanted leaf border follows the strip style, typical of Caucasian designs. The palette is somewhat mellow.
