A vintage Persian Malayer runner. The tan ground presents two adjacent vertical turtle palmette border design sections converted to field patterns. These strips are repeated exactly to scale in the markedly abrashed brown border on this wide and long runner from the prolific Malayer weaving area in western Persia.
