A vintage Persian Malayer runner. Pyramidal, ragged palmettes are accented in dark brown and attached to a grey-green meandering vine on the sandy border. The central column of joined open lozenges of the abbreviated Herati design is almost lost on the straw field, but the light blue and dark brown details are crisp and clear on this west Persian village kenare ( ruuner ).
