A vintage Persian Malayer runner. What would Malayer weavers do without the Herati pattern? Here they have played with the open diamonds, contorting them into odd shapes while detailing them in goldenrod and rust, on the abrashed slate ground. Distorted turtle palmettes enliven the main buff border.
