A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. A single column of open, fringed diamonds runs down the brown field, with attendant Herati secondary motifs along the sides. Some Malayer runners with similar designs feature fractional en suite poles at the field edges. The straw-colored main border showcases finger-fringed pyramidal palmettes in a squared orthogonal meander.
