A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The slate field features rows and offset reversing rows of cursively floriated botehs, while the ecru strip-style main border presents reversing turtles tightly bound in a rigid vinery. After the Herati design, boteh patterns are among the most popular in Malayer rugs, especially well-suited to long rugs and runners.
