The slate field features a distinctive Malayer variant of the Herati design, with a central column of linked, fringed diamonds flanked by the classic Herati elements, bent leaves, rosettes, and small diamonds. A straw-toned continuous square meander border frames the field, accented with reversing, sharply triangular palmettes.
