A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. Dated 1350, corresponding to either 1972 or 1931 depending on the calendar. While Malayers are rarely dated, this piece bears a clear inscription in the lower left of the main border. The light grey-blue field features a large diamond lattice framework, with various palmettes placed within each cell. The border shows a continuous right-angle meander with sawtooth half-ashiks.
