A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation, this well-woven city carpet features a bitonal brown and beige field with an allover pattern of cloud bands, leaves, arabesques, and palmettes. The light brown border is continuous, with beetle-like palmettes in the corners and two types of reversing palmettes in between.
