A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The field depicts two women hard at work on a large carpet on a vertical city loom. Cartoon sections rest on the warps above. Weft beater combs lie along one side of the bench and a scissors lies between them. Cream border of roses and foliage. On an actual carpet, there would be more weavers, seated more closely together.
