A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. While the layout is common to both small rugs and large carpets, nothing here remotely resembles a traditional Viss. The cardinal red field features a central axis anchored by a densely hooked, layered hexagonal medallion with matching lozenge pendants. Pale blue hooked triangular side projections and clawed corners with botehs add definition. The ecru border displays octagons and geometric palmettes.
