A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This ecru ground Veece piece follows the characteristic local design protocols with a hexagonal fringed medallion, large pendants, inward pointing lateral large triangles, and lavishly hooked corner triangles. Hundreds of tiny birds appear in both field and main medallion. Rosettes and triangles in the narrow main border. Veece carpets are village, rustic creations and the weavers work from memory rather than referring to a cartoon.
