A wool pile on wool foundation, with wool tassels. This small pile strip was originally employed as a horse or donkey decoration by tribal people. It was tied around the neck with the square braided wool tassels hanging down in front. There are a few small tassels along the top edge. Pattern of reversing fan palmettes on red has been adapted from rug borders.
