A wool pile of symmetric knots on a mostly cotton, some wool foundation. This softly toned room size piece shows its Caucasian sources with a pole medallion of three bold squares, against the wildly abrashed rose, brown, straw and azure field. Assorted lozenges, rosettes and leaves are sprinkled randomly around the field. Brown border with tall S’s composed of serrated leaves.
