A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation with short warps. A red lion with a multicolored mane faces right on an oblong charcoal ground, surrounded by stylized leaves, stems, and flowers. The lion stands solidly, befitting the king of beasts. The triple border features an abrashed straw inner stripe with posies and X’s; the middle frame is composed of rhomboids banded in many colors; and the red outer border displays stars on the sides. Woven sideways.
