A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This carpet closely copies late 17th-century Ningxia examples, with a dark blue 4/3/4 paeony, vine, and scrolled leaf allover pattern set against a golden tan field. The golden-tan main border displays a corner-turned T-fret. An inner border shows half-rosettes detailed in pale blue, and a plain brown outermost stripe completes the composition.
