This is a wool pile with asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. A true 'end of day' carpet, it features a field dominated by blues and ivories in a dashed, striated, patternless design. The main border, in contrast, has a more straw-like tonality, while the outer border is a solid midnight blue. Hundreds of leftover distinct knotting runs were used to create this inimitable piece.
