A giant cruciform medallion with a central rose bouquet, rose-trail edging, and four bouquet pendants suspended on ribbon bows seems to be set over a shaped field with rounded corners, decorated with various acanthus curlicues. The main border, which is wider at the corners, features corner cartouches set on latticed, convex segments with rose trails between them. Very much in the Second Empire style—big and bold, yet with softer vignettes. It could complement Baroque furnishings just as well as something more restrained. A unique carpet, not the traditional rose garden-accented piece.
