An antique Indian Agra carpet. The rust field displays a mid-sized version of the ever-popular Herati pattern, here with the emphasis on ivory “fish” leaves. The brown in and out turtle palmette design border is particularly rustic in rendition, much like a village Heriz carpet. The size gives it versatility and the design works well with almost any style of furniture except Art Deco.
