A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation, this Hamadan area carpet features a slate-colored field organized into a uniform lozenge lattice, where each cell is defined by four barbed diagonal leaves and centered by a pendant hexagon. The design maintains good balance in all directions, though a slight rustic wiggle adds character. The rust main strip-style border showcases reversing turtle motifs, flanked by ecru minor borders with Caucasian-inspired hooked lozenges. The carpet also features the standard unique Bibikabad pile surface.
