A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This unusual village carpet shows a pale blue – grey field with large modules of eight tulips each, formal vinery segments, sickle leaves and a variety of smaller palmettes, all in an implicit two column layout. Red main strip style border with an alternation of vasiform palmettes and smaller semi-turtle palmettes. The field generally recedes as the borders advance.
