A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. The light slate-grey field features an allover pattern of paired, drooping elephant ear leaves and palmettes enclosing hexagons. The palmettes point both up and down, creating several double and single echelons. The main strip-style ecru border includes palmettes and petal vases. With its heavy, compact weave, this piece resembles a mansion carpet and was likely woven in Garrus.
