An antique Persian Bidjar rug. In a Caucasian style with horizontal panels of radiating serrated leaves, double anchors or reciprocal bird forms, this village (“Kurd”) Bidjar shows a particularly fetching rosette-conjoined “S” border on an ivory ground. The construction is all wool, and the weave is solid and long wearing.
