An antique Persian Kurdish rug. The dark brown ground is closely covered by n allover pattern of “wedgie shoes” or “dragons” in variety of colors including ivory, green, yellow, red and salmon. The caramel border displays vertical ashiks. The “wedgie shoe” pattern is popular among Kurdish weavers for both bags and scatter rugs.
