A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The pale blue grey subfield shows a repeating, allover pattern of palmettes including spiky palmettes with “eyes” resembling cartoonish faces. The straw-sand enveloping field is narrow at the zig zag sides and widens into triangles at the corners with further face palmettes. The sandy straw border displays octagonal rosettes. Moderately reduced palette.
