An antique Persian Lavar Kerman carpet. This generally earth-toned Kerman city carpet has a pinched beige subfield centered by a rosette around which are various palmette and swirling vines. The slightly darker extended corners form the actual field. The beige border displays palmette quatrefoils and forked curving arabesques.
