An antique Persian Mahal carpet. Giant forked leaves attempt to devour dark brown and ivory palmettes in the abrashed light taupe field of this west Persian village carpet. Animated diagonal leaves with multiple flowers frame the stable border palmettes. There is no red and only touches of sky blue on this carpet.
