A wool pile in symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The pearly grey-blue, abrashed slate field features a seemingly unique, ascending, one-way pattern of flowers on thin, stiff vertical stems, with ecru leaf 'wings,' rosettes, leaves, serrated botehs, and carnations. The baby blue strip-style main border displays a stiff meandering vinery and angular palmettes. A very unusual carpet with a perpetually intriguing pattern, likely a special order, possibly accompanied by one or more supplied cartoons.
