A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The last Persian Qajar king is depicted in ceremonial military garb in half- length on a niche-shaped golden camel toned field and pale blue millefleurs spandrels. He is identified as Ahmad Shah in the inscribed banderole below. Near black main border of flowers. Work of Mohtasham the Younger.
