An antique Persian Sarouk Fereghan rug. The pattern pair to 14554, this small, rust ground, medallion mat was woven in a village in the famed Sultanabad rug region. The weaver worked from memory, not using a scale paper cartoon, and that accounts for the slight vertical displacement of the medallion. The palate is soft with the exception of the black octofoil medallion.
