An antique Persian Tabriz carpet. The old ivory field is dominated by the array of swerving and gaping large, brown forked arabesques. The various palmettes are fixed in position and definitely subordinate in their softer colors. The slightly reddish brown frame shows ragged palmettes and tiny boteh-leaves.
