An antique Persian Tabriz carpet. The charcoal field supports a vast well-balanced repeating small-scale Herati design detailed in buff, sand and dark brown. The ivory main border shows a well-drawn rounded vine scroll with sickle leaves linking rosettes and turtle palmettes, with proper corner resolutions. No strong red or blue tones intrude.
