Antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili Rug

An antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili rug. This late 19^th century ‘Hajji Jalili’ style Tabriz scatter places a navy blue slightly lobed pendant medallion and matching extended corners around an old ivory scalloped field. The corner arabesques are particularly well – conceived. The ivory main border brackets rosettes with navy leaves.  The design is well-balanced and the weave is excellent.
