A wool pile with symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. A small, ogival lattice pattern forms the backdrop for various Persian figural vignettes, including a lady with a hookah seated on a fabric held by two others, a figure on a camel, a crane with its neck wrapped around a tree, embracing figures, an architectural study on the left, and various domestic animals below. While there is no cohesive narrative, the figures are inspired by Persian miniature paintings.
