A vintage Persian Kashan carpet. The sand field displays nine columns of diamonds enclosing hand-like floral devices, all pointing upwards on this well-woven central Persian city large carpet. There is a light-colored lattice organizing the field pattern and the main border shows dark brown Caucasian rosettes in an imitation Kufesque border.
