An antique Persian Tabriz Pictorial rug. A visual pair to rug # 17956. A young boy Persian Shah is seated on a throne underdrawn back curtains. He is sashed, bemedalled and clasps a sword, all emblems of his elevated position. A simple, narrow border of reversing fan palmettes frames the scene on an ivory ground. There are a few white cotton details.
