Wool pattern wefts in slit tapestry technique on wool warps. This particular large village weaving shows four similar columns of seven eight-pointed stars, each, in shades of chocolate, beige, chrome yellow, green and rust, all on a cherry red ground with narrow vertical separator bands with flower heads, or alternations of S’s with stepped lozenges.
