This thick pile vintage French formal carpet features an ecru field with a rose, scallop shell and acanthus leaf wreath surrounding a medium blue scroll frameworks which, in turn, centers a leaf and shell central motif. Plain minor borders flank a central band with a small repeating disc décor. Lighter, but not subdued palette. Uncommon format.
